The supervisory authority within the meaning of § 5 TDG is the Berlin Bar Association.

To the lawyers the professional law of lawyers applies, i.e. the Federal Lawyers' Code (BRAO), the Professional Code of Lawyers (BORA), the Lawyers' Remuneration Act (RVG), the Professional Rules of Lawyers in the European Community (CCBE) and the Specialist Lawyer Regulations ( FAO).
